Ruizi(Jane) Yang is an editor and filmmaker who is born and raised in China, and currently working as a freelancer in film/video editing based in hangzhou, china.
The feature, The Last Summer, she worked on has been officially selected for 27th Shanghai International Film Festival in 2025. And the documentary, she worked on as assistant editor, Like A Rolling Stone: The Life & Times of Ben Fong-Torres was officially selected for Tribeca Film Festival in 2021, and now is available in Netflix.
The shorts she edited had won or been offical selected for international film awards like Cannes Short Film Corner, San Jose International Short Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards, San Diego Asia Film Festivals and First Film Festival.
She received a bachelor degree in film/video production from the State University in New York, and holds a MFA degree in film production with emphasis in editing from Chapman University in.
She is passionate about stories related to family, personal growth, gender issue, especially female oriented projects. Looking forward to work with more talented filmmakers in the future.
